Most people don’t purchase entry doors for their home on a regular basis. In fact, you may never purchase a new door in your lifetime. So it stands to reason that when you purchase a door for the first time, you don’t quite know all the questions to ask. Be aware that when you purchase an entry door from a home improvement store, you will get the bare minimum when it comes to the installation. Before you decide to go with the cheapest option to save money, make sure you know what it’s really going to cost you… in time and hassle.
1. Paint for Your Entry Door
You may not realize it, but painting your door is not part of the deal with the big box stores. Sure, they install the door, but that’s it. Now you’re left with a door you have to paint or stain yourself…big hassle! At All-Weather, we custom paint your door for you in the shop. All you have to do is provide the paint or stain we will custom paint or stain it for you in our store to prevent the mess and inconvenience at your home.
2. See Your Entry Door before You Buy
You don’t have to guess what your door will look like on your house. We have software that can take pictures of the front of your house, and show you what it would look like with a new door. Choose from our doors in stock, or you can even bring a picture of a door into the showroom and we can do the same thing.
3. Get New Trim for Your Entry Door
Many times, when you replace a door, you want to change the casing (trim around your door). We install new interior and exterior casing/trim to match your door.
4. Better Entry Door Warranty
Our warranties always beat the competition. That’s because our doors are quality doors made to stand the test of time. We warranty our installation for five years. Other companies usually only give you one year, if they offer a warranty.
5. Adjustable Thresholds
Most people don’t even consider the threshold (the wood strip on the ground). When we install a threshold, it’s adjustable so it can be raised to give a snugger fit against the bottom of the door, which prevents drafts. Fixed thresholds are not adjustable.
6. Insulation for Your Entry Door
We spray foam insulation around your door and frame. This provides an extra barrier against air and water from seeping into your home.
7. Storm Door Re-installation
We re-install your old storm door free of charge if you’re not planning on purchasing a new one. Other companies may charge for this service.
8. Doorbell Installation
Many doorbell buttons are attached to the door frame. We replace your doorbell button on the new frame if it was attached to your previous door frame.
9. Haul Away Your Old Entry Door
What do you do with that old door? It’s your problem with other installers. All-Weather hauls away your old door and disposes of it for you.
10. Entry Door Peepholes without Punishment
We can install a peephole in your door at your eye level – even if you’re vertically challenged – and we don’t void the warranty like other companies would.
11. Quality Doors for Your Kansas City Home
At All-Weather, you can choose from entry doors by Andersen, Provia, and ThermaTru. All of these are quality brands that will last for years.
At All-Weather, we specialize in windows, doors, and siding. We also specialize in customer service. That’s why more than half of our customers are repeat customers. Because we are a smaller, local company, we can go above and beyond when it comes to customer service. We don’t have corporate telling us what we can and can’t do for our customers. We know what it takes to make you happy and we simply do it.
